Massey's Moto Guzzi Californian in Scotland. So I should really get the same so they have friends. Still, the Guzzi Norge...

Yeah but, yeah but, yeah but, for 3000 Quid I could get the Italian version of an American bike. That's what Massey has, so we could be twins.

Trip planning progressing, www.map24.com absolutely brilliant!

But its a long way to trip a Guzzi! Its a long way to go...

So far its up the UK into Scotland, Orkneys, Shetlands, Bergen, Trondheim, over to Sweden (speed limit too low in Norway), up to Finland, then up intothe Arctic Circle and then Nordkapp, down to Helsinki, over to Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland to Krakow, Czech Republic's Prague, then Vienna, down to Dubrovnik, over to Istanbul via Sofia. Back via Gelibolu, Thessaloniki, Igoumenista, overnight ferry to Venice, a holiday in Tuscany with friends and family, then every famous pass and bit of winding road in the Alps, Innsbruck, then flat out across France. No support crew like 'Long Way Round', just us but with GPS, cameras and a good attitude. Maybe we are the Wrong Way Round? Upside Down?

Ahh, the dream...

Maybe, just maybe, I can afford one of these for the trip?

Massey and Og's Travels through the Occident (MOTO)

Greetings fellow travellers. This is the blog for Massey and Og's Travels through the Occident (MOTO) by motorcycle, our mid life crisis big bike ride. From London to Istanbul via Norway. If we cross the Bosphorus, then we will have touched the Orient as well, but MOTOO sounded stupid, and MOTTTOO even worse.

Some keywords for the search engines: moto guzzi, motorcycles, motorbikes, europe, eastern europe, journey, ride, trip, very long way...
